leadership
Southwest Christian High School believes that all of its students are future leaders as they serve their Lord as His statesmen on Earth. Therefore, we encourage our students to participate in the variety of leadership opportunities offered at Southwest. In addition to leadership roles in co-curricular activities such as athletics and drama, the students at Southwest have the opportunity to develop their ability as leaders through involvement in student government.
Every year, each class elects its own class President and Vice President who help guide their classmates in leading chapels, organizing class socials and service projects, and carrying out fundraisers for the Senior Class Missions Trip to the Dominican Republic. Students can also join one of four Student Life Committees. These committees represent and are in charge of fostering the following areas of student life: Spiritual Life, Hospitality, Social Events, and Athletic Fan Support.
The SWCHS student body also elects a Student Body President each spring who provides overall leadership. The Student Body President, the four class presidents, along with the students who chair each of the Student Life Committees, make up Southwest’s Student Council that serves as the primary student leadership group representing and serving the student body.
