Congratulations to the Boys Golf Team for their Second Place finish in the Class A State Golf Tournament! The STARS were in second place at the end of the first day of the tournament at Pebble Creek on Wednesday, 10 strokes behind Ortonville. On Thursday, the STARS had made up six shots when thunderstorms and a tornado warning caused officials to cancel the entire day's round, leaving the STARS in second place.  A disappointing end to the tournament.... but we are so proud of our STARS!

This marks the second time a Southwest athletic team made it to a state tournament, and the highest team accomplishment in school history.  In Fall of 2008 the girls Volleyball team won the consolation championship at the state tournament.

Sophomore Lindi Pedersen finished 7th at the Class A State Track Tournament in the 400m dash last Saturday at Hamline University, with a school record time of 59.67. Lindi also holds the school record for the 200m dash with a time of 26.9 seconds. Congratulations, Lindi!

This is the first time in school history that a student has made it to the state level in a running event. (Previously, Jordy Zimmerman, '07, went to State for long jump.)
