Where We've Come Thanks to Generous Donors Like You

Southwest Christian High School began in 1996 with a vision to use all aspects of its academic and co-curricular programs to develop mature disciples of Jesus Christ. When the school opened its doors on the Bavaria Road campus, that was the first phase of a strategic initiative that would facilitate growth to around 500 students.  Our initial campus opened in 2012 with 187 students in a 64,000-square-foot facility.  As our school enrollment grew, we added new phases of physical growth. In 2019, this included a performing arts wing that added a 750-seat auditorium, classrooms, science labs, music practice and performance space, and a pro-tech area.

Phase 1

With construction completed on the new 63,000-square-foot campus and athletic fields, 187 students began school in the new SWCHS building on September 4, 2012.

The building expansion in 2019 included science labs, computer CAD labs, business and entrepreneurship, robotics, engineering, music, theater classrooms, a performing arts auditorium, lobby, and school counselor office area.

In addition to these classrooms, the expansion included a performing arts auditorium, lobby, and school counselor office area.

Recent Campaign: Athletic Expansion

Student enrollment after the pandemic prompted the launch of our next strategic phase, an athletic expansion to serve almost 80% of the student body who participate in athletic programs.

Discipleship, mentoring, and community-building all happen in our athletic programs, and we look forward to supporting our school’s vision to train more disciples using this new space.

The expansion was completed in December 2023.

The athletic expansion includes:

  • 52,000 sq. ft. athletic complex
  • 5,000 sq. ft. weight room with 12 squat racks
  • 44-seat film & team room
  • Indoor training bunker: 16x70 ft batting cage & hockey simulator
  • 2 finished locker rooms (new varsity locker rooms)
  • Multi-sport court - 3 pickleball courts, 1 tennis court
  • Short sprinting track

This expansion will solve:

    •    Additional space for academic classes
    •    Year-round training for more sports
    •    Additional parking for school events
    •    Athletic storage
