2019 AP Students Receive Impressive Scores

Southwest Christian High School had 57 students in AP classes this past school year, with 42 earning college credit for their work. On a 1–5 scale, students must receive a 3 or higher to receive college credit for their work.

On July 5, AP scores were announced. Mr. Peter Welle, AP World History teacher, had a passing rate of 96% with a national average of 55.3%. Mr. Welle’s class scored 26.3% higher than Minnesotan student average. Mrs. Annebet Pettit’s AP English Language and Composition class also had exceptional results, with a 93.8% passing rate at SWCHS, compared to 63.2% in Minnesota, and 54.3% nationally.

SWCHS has incredible faculty on staff that pours into students during the week, invests in weekend study sessions, and instills the desire to be excellent in our young learners. Congratulations to our students for their amazing AP accomplishments!
