SWCHS 2008 Volleyball Team

Head Volleyball Coach Greg Sayuk joined the 300 wins club on Tuesday night in his 15th year coaching at Southwest Christian High School. The six-time Section 4A Coach of the Year started in 2004 and in a few short years brought the first team from Southwest Christian to the state tournament in 2008. In their first state appearance, the Stars won the consolation championship game.

In 2012, his squad earned second place at the state tournament, and a year later, the Stars were named the Class A state champions in 2013 with a season record of 31-5. The following fall, SWCHS moved to Class AA and ended the 2017 season ranked #7.  Sayuk earned seven Minnesota Christian Conference Association (MCAA) Championships before switching to the Minnesota River Conference in 2018.

He has served as an all-state coordinator for nine years and has also been on the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association Board for 10. Congratulations to Southwest Christian’s head coach, Greg Sayuk!
