Nathan Denney Competes in Alpine Slalom State Championship

Nathan Denney placed 46th out of 88 skiers in the Minnesota State High School League Alpine Slalom Championships on February 13, 2019. The senior finished the race with a time of 1:20.36, only nine seconds away from the winning time of 1:11.72. The state champion, Kaarl Damberg, is also on the Mound Westonka/SWCHS co-op team.

Prior to the state meet, Nathan’s state-qualifying time in the 5A section meet was 1:06.67, placing 13th.

Nathan has been a part of the Westonka/SWCHS co-op team for the past six years, skiing as a junior high participant. Denney will graduate from SWCHS this spring.
