Girls Volleyball Returns to State Tournament
The Southwest Christian High School Girls Volleyball team ended its at the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) State Tournament, bringing home the Class AA Consolation Championship on Saturday, November 8.
The Stars returned to the state competition after winning the Section 2AA Championship. In the state quarterfinal round of play, SWCHS persevered but came up short in a five-set loss to New Life Academy. The team bounced back the next day, winning the consolation semifinal match up 3-0 against New London-Spicer. On Saturday, the Stars ended the season with a five-set victory over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.
Senior Breanna Beckering earned a spot on the all-tournament team as a result of her performance over the weekend.
