Service Days
Jesus said in Matthew 20, “He did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” That not only becomes part of the message to our students at Southwest Christian, but we believe that message must be met with action.
Twice a year, we send our students and staff into the community to serve for a day. This may take the form of raking a yard and washing windows for a senior citizen, helping at a food shelf, tutoring young children in the inner city, preparing food packets for families in developing nations, or a host of other opportunities. It is the tangible expression of Christ’s love for those in need. SWCHS students appreciate the opportunity to serve and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
