Who can join the club?
Everyone is welcome in this co-ed club! No tryouts, no experience or equipment needed. We have first-timers all the way to students who have played in competitions.

What’s the time commitment?
Although our sessions are about once/week, there is no time commitment and students are welcome to come and go as they please. Students are also encouraged to invite friends. There’s never a need to RSVP or commit to attending a session.

Where do we meet?
We will continue to meet on-site in the SWCHS gym over the winter. Sessions will move outdoors as weather allows. We typically meet on Tuesday mornings from 7:50–8:40 a.m.

Equestrian Club (Year-round)

Calling all those who own, ride, or just love horses! Whether you ride competitively, take lessons, ride for fun, or just want to hang around other people who do, this club is for you! This is a student-led club that will meet to share their experiences with one another and attend fun outside-of-school events like horse shows, rodeos, the WSCA Champ Show in the fall, skijoring at Canterbury in the winter, and/or the MN Horse Expo in the spring. We’ll try to go tour the Leatherdale Equine Hospital and/or volunteer at an Equine Therapy program. Members will even have an opportunity to letter in Equine Sports! You don’t need to own a horse to join!

Sailing (Summer)

A new club at SWCHS is the sailing club, which is a competitive team at the high school level, but it is open to anyone interested in learning about sailing. All levels are welcome. Sailing is taught and coached by Lake Minnetonka Sailing School instructors and will compete at the area and regional regattas. Practice takes place after school 2–3 days per week at Lake Minnetonka.
