Athletic Expansion Campaign

We are excited to share with you information about the next phase of the SWCHS expansion!

Southwest Christian High School began over 25 years ago with a vision to use all aspects of its academic and co-curricular programs to develop mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

When the school opened its doors on the Bavaria Road campus, that was the first phase of a strategic initiative that would facilitate growth to around 500 students.  Our initial campus opened in 2012 with 187 students in a 64,000 square foot facility.  As our school enrollment grew, we added new phases of physical growth. In 2019, this included a performing arts wing that added a 750-seat auditorium, classrooms, science labs, music practice and performance space, and a pro-tech area.

Student enrollment after the pandemic prompted the launch of our next strategic phase, an athletic expansion to serve the almost 80% of the student body who participate in athletic programs.

The athletic expansion architectural design adds a 53,000 square foot addition that includes:

  • Additional space for PE classes
  • Athletic offices, team meeting and film rooms
  • Weight room expansion from the current 850 to 4500 square feet
  • Short sprinting track
  • Space for year-round training for all athletic teams
  • Additional parking
  • Athletic storage

Discipleship, mentoring, and community-building all happen in our athletic programs, and we look forward to supporting our school’s vision to train more disciples using this new space.  The project broke ground in June 2022, and we anticipate completion in Fall 2023.

Southwest Christian High School was founded over 25 years ago by families who dreamed of a high school that would someday serve 500 students. May God continue to bless Southwest Christian for the glory of His name and advancement of His Kingdom!
